Automatically Removable Tow Bars

The automatic system by WESTFALIA is the invisible and most easily removed trailer tow bar. To use it, the removable tow-ball neck is inserted into its housing from below (vertically). The removable tow-ball is secured against theft by means of a lock.

 

The removable tow ball uses three balls that hold it secure in the housing, without any play or wear. This ensures total safety, yet easy operation and the highest level of comfort.

 

WESTFALIA invented this tow bar system and has been supplying it for all vehicle models since 1987. Since its introduction into the market, the system has been sold 3.5 million times and enjoys the highest level of acceptance on the market.

 

For some vehicle models, this system is also available with horizontally inserted tow ball.

The small automatic system by Westfalia (A50H) is an economic and comfortable version of the removable tow bar.

 

To use the tow bar, the tow-ball is inserted horizontally into its housing. It is locked automatically. The tow-ball is secured against theft by means of a lock.

 

WESTFALIA supplies these tow bars in OEM quality since 2004, for many vehicle models.

The pin system of WESTFALIA (A10H) is a functional version of the removable tow bar.

 

To use the tow bar, the tow-ball is inserted horizontally into its housing, and secured by means of a pin. The pin is secured by means of a leg spring.

 

This tow bar is an economic version in the range of removable tow bar systems. Of course WESTFALIA supplies this hitch in OEM quality.

The nut system of WESTFALIA (A20) is a functional version of the removable tow bar.

 

To use the tow bar, the tow-ball is inserted horizontally into its housing and secured by means of a metal nut. The nut is secured by means of a leg spring.

 

This tow bar is an economic version in the range of removable tow bar systems. Of course WESTFALIA supplies this hitch in OEM quality.

The electric swivelling trailer tow bar system is the newest innovation by WESTFALIA. At the press of a button, the tow bar automatically swivels upward from below the bumper within a few seconds, and can be used immediately. Thanks to the fact that it is operated completely electrically, this the most comfortable tow bar system.

 

WESTFALIA was the first tow bar manufacturer in the vehicle industry to offer this system in serial production. The more than 40,000 fully electrical systems that have been sold by WESTFALIA speak for themselves.

 

Currently the electric swivelling system is available for the Porsche Cayenne and the VW Touareg.
